Jenny places #10 in UKC Top Ten All Breed for 2004
Jenny took Best of Breed in the UKC Top Ten competition allowing her to on to the Semi-Finals where she was one of four dogs in her group selected to go on to the Finals. Twenty dogs are selected from the Semi-Finals.
The Finals at the UKC Top Ten is judged by a panel of four judges. The dog is presented to each judge who scores the dog. All four scores are tallied and the Top Ten for the year are determined.
It was a very exciting evening as we waited for the Judges scored to be tallied.

Jenny goes from Desert Dog to WETDOG
Jenny came to Texas from Buckeye, Arizona. Yes, she moved from hot weather to hot weather. But, we have water here and Jenny learned to swim. She not only learned to swim but she became the second Curly to become a WETDOG. In one summer, she learned to swim, retrieve, swim to a drowning victim and tow them to shore and swim a tow rope to a small boat and tow it to shore.

Backpacking anyone?
This year we decided to try backpacking. I thought this would be something fun to do when it was not so HOT here in Texas. We did some backpacking. Blue and Jenny loved it! As for me, well it was just a lot of walking and I did not find that so much fun. So, on to something else.
So, how much weight can you pull?
Blue tries his paw at weight pulling. He has competed on rails and wheels. We don't have snow here in Texas to pull sleds. Blue earned a "Most Weight Pulled" by a non-pulling breed with a pull of 920 lbs.
Entering his sport was the brain storm of pulling Judge Mike Hanson of Oklahoma. Thanks, Mike for letting me borrow Cockies harness. I love the red, white and BLUE. (I know you'll never live it down, letting the black curly dog pull in Cockies harness.)
