Day 46 - July 26: Girls are playing again with pheasant wings. Thank you Keith for sending 2 home with me. The girls think they are quite fun.

Day 44 - July 24: Tonight we ventured out after dinner. It was only 96 degrees out by then. They were not too happy about that and wanted back in. We played on the deck for a short while and then went back into the AC.

Day 38 - July 18: Optimal Selection DNA results are returned and published. We are still waiting for AKC DNA for parentage. Is Dutch or Rudy the daddy? Or one of each?

Day 37 - July 17: Today we changed the potty area to pine pellets in a plastic box. The girls found this quite interesting and had to test it out immediately. |

Day 33 - July 13: Dori and Ginny climb in and out of their bed and play with toys. |

Day 32 - July 12: Second deworming today. Photo 1 - Baby "D" 10.5 lbs Photo 2 - Baby "G" 9 lbs The scale is wiggly under them and so they have to get used to movement under their feet. |

Day 30 - July 10:
We had to go from the baby scale to the big puppy scale. They just don't fit on the baby scale anymore. photo 2 -Baby "G" is 8+lbs photo 3 -Baby "D" is 9.5 lbs |

Day 29 - July 9:
Look how smart Lizzy is. She has figured out that if she jumps onto the futon and over the x pen she can visit her babies anytime AND she can take a break from them anytime by jumping out! GENIUS, I say, GENIUS! |

Day 28 - July 8:
We changed to big dog bowls which seemed to work well. Photo 2 is what happens when you finish your bowl and sister steps away from her bowl for a minute. Photo 3 trying to clean the bowls. Today is toe nail trimming day. |

Day 27 - July 7:
Just a lazy Saturday around here for the pup and Lizzy. Lizzy is so funny. She's taking care of her stuffed toys. :-) |

Day 25 - July 5:
These babies are just so darn cute. They are playing with each other, toys and mom. The balls are out of the ball pit. There just isn't enough room for them. The pups and Lizzy still like to sleep in the whelping box. Lizzy does like to have the stuffed toys in the whelping box. If I take them out for the pups to play with outside the box, she picks them up and puts them back inside the box. |

Day 20 - June 30th: Morining Cuteness. I noticed little white teeth coming in. |

Day 19 - June 29th: Puppys are going over the top of their whelping box so now it is the play area. Jim said, "It looks like the Chuck e Cheese ball pit." |

Day 18 - June 28th: Girls are 4 lbs and 11 ozs and 5 lbs 4 ozs. They had their first deworming today. |

Day 14 - June 24th: DNA testing was done and mailed to the AKC for parentage and Optimal Selection for Genetic Health testing. |

Day 9 - June 19th: Aeriel view of Lizzy's puppy bed. #2 pup is already escaping over the side. So up goes the baby gate and x-pen. |

Day 8 - June 16th:
Girls are eating well and getting bigger. I opted not to buy a kiddie swimming pool as they are not very sturdy. I'm using a kids, Step 2 Naturally Playful Sandbox. Very hard plastic and Lizzy likes to rest her head on the corners. Very easy to keep clean.

Day 5 - June 15th: We lost little liver boy who was only 7.8 oz today. :-( |

June 9th : Waiting for pups. Lizzy hanging out on the bed (oh we won't tell Keith, Lizzy isn't supposed to sleep in bed.. sshhh). Lizzy starts nesting in her whelping box. |

June 7th: 3 puppies seen on the x-ray. Due date June 10th +/- a day. |

May 8th:
Ultrasound confirms pregnancy.
Now we wait for the x-ray ~ June 7th to count puppies!
